XV International Winter Road Congress in 2018 will be held in Poland. PIARC and General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways are the organizer.

General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways in the XIV International Winter Road Congress in Andorra
On the 7th of February 2014 took place a technical session presenting practical solutions for winter road maintenance. One of the main speakers was Mr. Andrzej Maciejewski - Deputy General Director for National Roads and Motorways. The representative of GDDKiA presented the latest achievements in the implementation of good practices in the management process of winter maintenance. Director Maciejewski presented the experience of already implemented activities and innovation showing how GDDKiA has reached increasing of the efficiency and control over the process of winter maintenance at the same time reducing costs.
During the Andorra’s Congress director Maciejewski was also the moderator of a technical session presenting practical solutions for Extreme Events.

Poland - organizer of the next International Winter Road Congress
During the official closing session of the Congress was presented the next host of the International Winter Road Congress. In four years’ time an international group of experts will meet in Gdansk, to discuss about aspects of the winter road maintenance, financial and technical issues. Host of Andorra’s Congress handed PIARC flag - the symbol of the next edition of the congress to Mr. Andrzej Maciejewski - Deputy General Director for National Roads and Motorways and Mr. Paweł Adamowicz - Mayor of the City of Gdańsk.

XIV International Winter Road Congress was accompanied by an exhibition during which nearly 70 exhibitors presented their competences. Among them were: road authorities, associations and private companies.
