On the 19th March this year in the office of the ministry there was held a meeting of the Minister of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy Sławomir Nowak with the representatives of the Parliamentary Club of the Law and Justice: Jerzy Polaczek, Andrzej Adamczyk, Krzysztof Tchórzewski and Jerzy Szmit, and also the Chairman of the Parliamentary Infrastructure Committee Zbigniew Rynasiewicz (Civic Platform) and the Vice Chairman of the Committee Stanisław Żmijan (CP). The Secretary of the State in the MTCME Tadeusz Jarmuziewicz and the General Director for National Roads and Motorways Lech Witecki were present. During the meeting the situation on the construction site of the section C of the A2 motorway between Łódź and Warszawa was discussed, the subcontractors of the DSS SA presented their difficult situation in the settlement with DSS SA.

For the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy the situation of the aggrieved subcontractors is very important. The GDDKiA makes its payments to the contractors reliably and quickly. I understand the anger and emotions of the subcontractors, because when someone does his work in a decent way, shall receive the decent payment as well – said the Minister Nowak during the meeting.

The GDDKiA tries to demand the statements from the contractors, that they pay their payments to the subcontractors in scrupulous and effective manner. The possible changes in law shall be considered, which would protect the interests of the subcontractors better in relation with the contractors in the future.

The arrangement taken at the meeting was, among others, to organize in the nearest future (planned on 22nd March this year) the next meeting of the triangle: DSS company - General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways – subcontractors of DSS, at which the claims shall be explained.
