Weather map

Estimation of the journey time requires knowledge on weather conditions and ongoing road repairs. The latest information on this subject are available on the website www.archiwum.gddkia.gov.pl, tab "Serwis dla kierowców". You can find there the latest readings from 360 weather stations situated along national roads. Weathermen use them to forecast air and soil temperature, amount and type of falls, mist, direction and force of wind.

Information on impediments

A virtual map of road impediments is also a helpful tool while planning a journey. One may find there information on ongoing modernisation works, but also on sudden events that hinder traffic. These data are sent via mobile phones by road supervisors from all over the country and published immediately on the web service.

Road cameras

At "Serwis kierowców", there is also a map of over 560 road cameras placed along national roads. The cameras constantly monitor the traffic situation and make the evaluation of traffic conditions much simpler.

In the case when the access to the Internet is difficult, you may use Punkty Informacji Drogowej (Centres of Traffic Information). They collect and process information on traffic impediments in particular voivodeships. In particular capitals of voivodeships there are also local Centres of Traffic Information. All centres work 24h/day.
